  Homeopathy

We offer homeopathic advice to clients as part of the Centre’s holistic approach to care.

All Homeopaths are fully qualified members of a Professional Body.

What is Homeopathy?
The word homeopathy, comes from the Greek language and means similar suffering. Homeopathy is the treatment of disease by substances, referred to as remedies, prescribed according to the principle that ‘like cures like’. That is to say, the patient is prescribed a remedy which, from experiment and experience, is known to produce symptoms similar to those of the disease itself in a healthy person.

Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, non-evasive & comprehensive system of medicine. It uses natural remedies which are non-toxic, non addictive and free from harmful side effects.

Homeopathy treats the individual rather than just the symptoms. In treating illness, it takes into account the unique mental, emotional and physical traits of the individual concerned, giving a holistic approach to health and treating the whole person rather than looking at the illness in isolation.

How can homeopathy help?
Homeopathy can be used to treat many illnesses and ailments. Those particularly relevant to the work at the centre are:

  • Depression
  • Mood swings
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Sleep problems
  • Menopausal symptoms
  • Post operative recovery

Good results are also documented for the prevention of skin problems during radiotherapy.

What happens during my appointment?
During your appointment the homeopath will ask a number of questions, relating to your current situation and symptoms as well as your previous medical history.
Questions will include those relating to:

  • Lifestyle
  • Emotional response
  • Food likes / dislikes
  • Sleep pattern

As well as some regarding personal experiences.

This background information is a valuable tool for the homeopath when considering your treatment and in prescribing the most appropriate remedy or remedies.

How many sessions will I have?
Initially we will book you a one hour full consultation, and a half hour follow up session about two weeks later. Further sessions maybe required depending on the progress made. It is possible that further follow ups may take place by telephone.

Where my appointment take place? All appointments take place in the consulting room at the centre.

How do I book an appointment?
