Yoga
We offer Yoga to clients as part of the Centre's holistic approach to care. All Yoga tutors are fully qualified members of a Professional body. Yoga for Cancer Patients Yoga can help us to strengthen the immune system and encourage our inner healing. It is a holistic healing system that creates harmony and balance on all levels of our being. Gentle physical postures practised with the breath help us to regain movement, strength and flexibility, improve posture, clear toxins, increase energy levels and enhance the functioning of our internal organs and glands as well improving our breathing, and our confidence. Relaxation helps us to let go, to release muscular and mental tension, allowing us to tap in to our inner stillness bringing a feeling of peace and calmness which helps us to cope with the diagnosis of a life changing illness and also the stress and anxiety of cancer treament. With continued practice Yoga brings about subtle changes in our lives. We often begin to reflect more deeply, to view things differently, to reassess our attitudes to life and those around us. It helps us to develop a sense of well being and harmony. Yoga is a wonderful thing to share and enjoy. Do I need to take anything to class? What do I need to wear? How many sessions can I have?
