We are very pleased to announce and grateful to receive a further £15,000 in funding from Sussex Community Foundation in the form of two separate grants. We would like to thank the foundation and it's supporters for their continued support.

The first grant awarded was for £10,000 from the Support and Recovery Fund a further funding stage of the Sussex Crisis Fund. This funding will ensure the provision of our counselling services for the next 12 months, including the costs for our new cohort of student counsellors being welcomed to Olive Tree Cancer Support Group soon. Our counselling service provision is our second most popular service after Therapy (39%) with 17% of members accessing the service. Covid-19 has placed an additional strain upon many people's mental health, we anticipate an increase in demand for this service and to continue to be a well-used service for many years to come.

The second grant awarded was for £5,000.00 and made up of funding from the Azalea Fund and the Purple Fund at Sussex Community Foundation. The funding is towards the costs of our expansion in Horsham. The expansion is a partnership between Total Therapies and Olive Tree allowing us to provide therapeutic services on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons at Total Therapies premises at 33 Carfax, Horsham, RH12 1EE. For more information on our Horsham Holistic Therapies or to book an appointment please contact Terrie Stephens on Tel: 01403 627424 or Email: horsham@olivetreecancersupport.org.uk

We have previously received funding from the Sussex Crisis Fund through the Sussex Community Foundation and Argus Appeal which have allowed us to make physical changes to both the Crawley Support Centre and Horsham Information Hub and to purchase PPE equipment enabling us to become a Covid-19 secure environment and helping us to keep our members, volunteers and staff safe. Also, to provide training to our counsellors allowing them to provide telephone and online counselling whilst we have all been confined to our homes, and we will continue to use as a blended approach to counselling provision.

Once again we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Sussex Community Foundation and its supporters for the grants awarded and their continued support of Olive Tree Cancer Support Group.
