The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre is an independent charity. We currently receive no statutory funding and rely solely on the generosity of others. If you would like to help us to continue to provide our services to cancer patients, their families and carers, here are some of the ways in which you can do so:-
The simplest way to support us is to make a donation and there are numerous ways of doing this; from dropping a few coins or notes into the collection boxes or donation envelopes at the Olive Tree centre or at one of our community events, to shopping online, giving us a gift in memory of a loved one, remembering us in your will or sponsoring someone who is taking part in a fundraising event. Olive Tree volunteers organise successful fundraising events from time to time. Simply buying a ticket to one of these events helps to raise funds for the Olive Tree, requires no effort at all and you have the added benefit of a great night out! A substantial portion of our income, however, comes from a fantastic array of individual and company fundraising efforts, whether that be taking part in a sponsored walk or run, organising an event, online shopping or choosing the Olive Tree as an organisation’s charity of the year. Supporting the Olive Tree is not just about money; your time, skills and experience are just as valuable to us! Our trustees, therapists, counsellors, coaches, wellbeing activity leaders, workshop leaders, front desk staff and fundraising team are volunteers and we are always looking for new volunteers to join our friendly and supportive team. Our services have hugely positive impact on local people affected by cancer as demonstrated by the testimonials on this website. You can help us to raise awareness of the Olive Tree and reach as many people as possible by liking and sharing our posts on our social media platforms and creating your own posts about the Olive Tree, telling your family, friends and colleagues about the Olive Tree, handing out leaflets, putting up posters and letting us know of events we could attend.
